#1801, with treasury signatures o f Edward E. Jones as Register of the Treasury and Walter O. Woods as Treasurer of The United States. The cashier of this bank is H.

Barton and the President of the bank is Charles H. This bank changed titles to The National Bank of Commerce of Ogden, Utah' on October 25, 1920.

Finally the bank was placed into voluntary liquidation on June 10, 1930, after issuing small size Nationals for just about 1 year. In that year, 16,632 total small size notes were issued to the bank, most of which were redeemed quickly, as the neighboring National Banks in the area usually made a strong effort to remove the currency of failed banks from circulation. National Banks that went out this early in the small size issuing period are usually quite difficult to find, as they also had additional time for other banks to redeem their notes from circulation. There were four National Banks in Ogden, only two of which issued Series 1929 currency.

This is the rarer of those two banks! The note has four ample margins. This note retains decent color for the grade.

I grade this note as an About Very Fine, but you look at the scans and judge for yourself. The Kelly Census shows 12 small size notes reported, 7. This serial number is new to the census, making a total of 13 small size notes. This note would make a fine addition to any Utah State banknote collection.

It also makes a great addition for anyone collecting National Banknotes by type, as Utah is a very difficult state to obtain any National Banknotes from. Don't let this note get away! Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or if you need better photos of the item, Bob. Good Luck & Happy Hunting!
